02On your device
SIP profiles, app contacts, call history and preferences are stored on your device. Saved passwords are encrypted using Android-protected keys. Alternix does not receive, store, sell or use these data or call audio on Alternix servers.
03Calls and connections
Registration and calls send account identifiers, authentication data required by SIP, dialled addresses, signaling and network addresses to your chosen PBX/provider. Audio goes to call participants, directly or through the provider or a configured TURN relay. Configured STUN services process network addresses; they do not relay audio. These services have their own privacy and retention policies.
04Encryption
TLS protects signaling and SRTP protects audio only when enabled and supported by the other endpoint. Plain UDP/TCP signaling and ordinary RTP audio are not encrypted.
05Microphone and background operation
The microphone is used for calls you start or answer. Notifications and foreground services support calls and registration, including with the screen locked. Incoming calls may stop if Android terminates the app or the network connection is lost. This version uses no Alternix push or call-proxy server.
06Permissions
Network access connects to your provider; microphone access carries your voice; notifications, call management and foreground operation support calls. Boot detection clears stale call state. The app does not access system contacts, SMS, cellular call history, location or camera.
07Collection and retention
No banner ads, Alternix analytics, automatic crash reporting or Alternix account. Diagnostics stay on the device unless you share them. Delete SIP profiles and contacts in the app, and history in Settings. Up to 500 completed calls are retained. Clearing app data or uninstalling deletes local data; delete exported files separately. Deleting a SIP profile does not delete the provider’s account or records.
Recording is off by default. If enabled by you, call audio is temporarily saved on the device and then stored in your chosen folder, optionally with separate sides. History can be exported as CSV. You control the destination, including any cloud storage provider you select; Alternix does not receive these files. Pending recordings remain locally until saved. Delete saved recordings and exports separately.
Only if you choose the 15-minute PRO trial, Google AdMob displays a rewarded ad. Google and its partners may process your IP address, device and app information, ad interactions and consent choices to serve, measure and protect ads under Google's privacy policy. The app does not request Android's advertising ID. Your age range is stored on your device to apply age-appropriate ad settings; no rewarded ad is offered under 16. The trial and 24-hour limit are stored locally; a request to this policy site's host checks time after a restart and before an ad. Ad privacy choices appear in Settings when required. No SIP credentials, contacts, call audio or history are sent to AdMob. Google.
Subscriptions are billed through Google Play. AltSIP receives purchase status to enable PRO, but not payment card details. You can manage or cancel renewal in Google Play.
08Support
If you email us, we use your address and message to respond. We retain correspondence only as needed for support or legal obligations. You can request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements. Do not send passwords.
09Children
AltSIP is intended for ages 16 and older. Rewarded ads are unavailable to users who indicate they are under 16.
