About the app and your data

BAR Line Lab is an Alternix app for creating, scanning, and designing barcodes and price labels. No account is needed.

Codes, scan results, label layouts, designs, history, favorites, and app settings are saved on your device for reuse. Alternix does not receive your project content or store it on its own server.

Permissions

The camera is used only for scanning. Google ML Kit reads codes on your device: camera frames are not recorded, saved, or sent to a server.

Google receives technical information about the device, app, installation, and scanner operation for diagnostics and analytics. You can decline camera permission or revoke it in Android settings.

Files and sharing

The app accesses only the images you select. You choose where to save an exported file and which app or service to share it with.

Advertising and age

Google AdMob provides banners and optional rewarded ads. Google and advertising partners may process your IP address, approximate location derived from it, app, device, and advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, diagnostics, and advertising consent.

This supports advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Code content, images, and files are not sent to AdMob.

The app is for users aged 13 and over. Before the first ad request, you select 13–17 or 18+; no date of birth is requested. For ages 13–17, personalization and remarketing are disabled, and only ads suitable for general audiences are allowed. BAR Line Lab also prevents transmission of the Android advertising ID for this category.

For adults, Google User Messaging Platform manages consent according to the region. You can change your age category and available ad privacy settings in the app.

Deleting data

You can delete history in the app. Other data in its private storage remains until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Cloud backup is disabled. Exported files and original images must be deleted separately.

Services and website

Google service data is encrypted in transit and retained under Google’s policies.

The website runs on GitHub Pages: GitHub processes IP addresses and request logs under its privacy policy. The site remembers your language and theme; Alternix does not add advertising or analytics scripts.
