About the app and your data

QR Dot Lab is an Alternix app for creating and designing QR codes. No account is needed.

Codes, source data, designs with logos, history, favorites, and app settings are saved on your device for reuse. Wi-Fi QR codes, including passwords, are excluded from history. Alternix does not receive your code content or store it on its own server.

Permissions

At your request, the app can fill in your precise coordinates or the name and security type of your current Wi-Fi network. Location and nearby-device permissions are requested only for this autofill.

This information is used on your device and is not sent to advertising services. You can decline or revoke permissions in Android and enter data manually. Wi-Fi passwords are always entered manually.

Files and sharing

The app accesses only the images you select. You choose where to save an exported file and which app or service to share it with.

Advertising and age

Google AdMob provides banners and optional rewarded ads. Google and advertising partners may process your IP address, approximate location derived from it, app, device, and advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, diagnostics, and advertising consent.

This supports advertising, measurement, analytics, and fraud prevention. Code content, images, and files are not sent to AdMob.

The app is for users aged 13 and over. Before the first ad request, you select 13–17 or 18+; no date of birth is requested. For ages 13–17, personalization and remarketing are disabled, and only ads suitable for general audiences are allowed.

For adults, Google User Messaging Platform manages consent according to the region. You can change your age category and available ad privacy settings in the app.

Deleting data

You can delete history in the app. Other data in its private storage remains until you clear app data or uninstall the app. Cloud backup is disabled. Exported files and original images must be deleted separately.

Services and website

Google service data is encrypted in transit and retained under Google’s policies.

The website runs on GitHub Pages: GitHub processes IP addresses and request logs under its privacy policy. The site remembers your language and theme; Alternix does not add advertising or analytics scripts.
